Industrial Engineering Programme

The Industrial Engineering program at the University of La Guajira has a particular characteristic that differentiates it from many other academic programs of the same name at the national and international level: it has High Quality Accreditation through Resolution No. 002711 of February 25, 2020. In addition to that, it offers four lines of specialization to strengthen the general profile in Operations Management, in the following modalities: Mining, Agro-industrial Processes, Fishery Products and Alternative Energies; these have been carefully selected taking into account the natural resources existing in the department of La Guajira.

The in-depth studies allow the program to be more flexible in the sense that it provides the opportunity for a cohort to select a set of four subjects, each with three credit units, to be taken from the 5th to the 8th semester, according to their abilities and aptitudes, which strengthen the professional profile and orient it towards a specific field in industrial production, allowing the program the flexibility of the curriculum from the 5th semester to the 8th semester of their career.
