Functions
The functions of the Planning Office are:
- Advise the office of the president in the reform, modification and improvement of the organizational structure, academic programs, processes, procedures, resource management systems and standards.
- Elaborate the University's Development Plan with the participation and input of various strata, and carry out monitoring and evaluation activities.
- To direct and prepare the Financial Plan and the Annual Budget Project in coordination with the Administrative and Financial Vice Rectory.
- Advise and train departments and employees in the use of planning and scheduling techniques.
- To direct and coordinate the Bank of Investment Projects at the University and follow up with the respective institutions.
- Direct and coordinate, in association with the Academic Resources Department, the adaptation and/or modification of the physical plant of the University.
- To assist the rector in the analysis and formulation of alternative solutions to situations and problems regarding university management that may be presented by the rector's office.
- Prepare reports, studies and analyses on the activities carried out by the office and the specific aspects requested by the rector.
- Analyze the management indicators of each unit of the University, defining strategies of actions that allow the organizational improvement of processes and procedures, and of the execution of the functions.
- To serve as the center of the University's integral training system, receiving studies, documents and research from each of the departments and making them available for consultation and consultation by the agencies to support and share the information available to promote an effective decision-making process.
- Any other duties assigned to him/her that correspond to the nature of the unit.
