The requirements for enrollment at the University of La Guajira are as follows:

Enrollment requirements

  • Fill out the registration form in its entirety.
  • Fill out the OrientaTE form ( click here for more information).
  • Alien Registration Card (if you are a foreigner) or Temporary Protection Permit - PPT if you are a Venezuelan citizen.
  • Pay the registration fee.

What are the main phases of the process of enrollment, selection, admission and registration of students at the University of La Guajira?

The process consists of three main phases:

Phase 1: Online registration and payment.

During this phase, students must complete their online registration through the form provided on the university's official website. In addition, they must make the corresponding payment of the registration fee.

Phase 2: Selection and Admission.

This phase involves several stages:

Phase 3: Registration.

In this phase, admitted students must complete their registration:

  • Electronic delivery of registration documents: The required documents are sent electronically.
  • Payment of financial tuition: Students must make the tuition payment.
  • Printing class schedules from the campus: The printing of class schedules is allowed through the online system.
What are the main steps of the admission process at the University of La Guajira?

The admission process consists of the following main steps:

  1. Access the university's official website at: uniguajira.edu.co
  2. Descarga la factura de pago desde la opción “Reportes – Tesorería – Comprobantes generados”.
  3. Consulta el estado de tu proceso de inscripción y admisión desde el menú “Aspirantes – Enlaces de interés –  Plataforma del proceso de Admisión”.
  4. Consulta tú estado de Inscrito desde el menú “Aspirantes – Enlaces de interés –  Plataforma del proceso de Admisión”.
  5. Selecciona la modalidad de admisión (aspirante regular o perteneciente a un grupo priorizado) desde el menú “Aspirantes – Enlaces de interés –  Plataforma del proceso de Admisión”.
  6. Consulta la lista de preseleccionados para entrevista desde el menú “Aspirantes – Enlaces de interés –  Plataforma del proceso de Admisión”.
  7. Consulta la lista de admitidos una vez publicada desde el menú “Aspirantes – Enlaces de interés –  Plataforma del proceso de Admisión”.
  8.  Carga los requisitos de matrícula desde el menú desde el menú “Aspirantes – Enlaces de interés –  Plataforma del proceso de Admisión”.
  9. You will receive by e-mail the access data to the campus, including your code and password as a student.
  10. You will be informed about the date and time of the induction through e-mail and other institutional means.
  11. You will receive training to complete your first semester course enrollment.
  12. Las clases comenzarán según el calendario académico.

Step 1: Online registration and payment

To register online and make the payment, follow these steps:

Click here to start the online registration process.

  1. From the "CONVOCATORIAS" option, select the level of training (Undergraduate or Postgraduate) you are interested in.
  2. Choose the course you wish to study and complete the registration form.
  3. Once you have filled out the form correctly, go to the "Reports/Treasury/Payment Invoices" menu to print the payment invoice.
  4. Bring the printed invoice and make the payment in authorized banks.

How can I get my class schedule once I have paid my financial tuition?

To obtain your class schedule after you have paid your financial tuition, follow these steps:

Access the virtual campus.

  1. From the "Consult" option select "Student".
  2. Then, search and select "Student Schedule".
  3. You will be able to download and view your assigned class schedule.
